Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association

Since November 2022, Mohd Hairi (husband) and I have been actively volunteering as Peer Leaders, where I engage in a variety of impactful activities aimed at empowering youth. My role includes leading youth empowerment programs that foster personal growth and resilience, delivering school talks to raise awareness about important issues, and facilitating continued care support groups for individuals in need. Through these initiatives, I aim to provide support, share knowledge, and help young people navigate challenges in their lives while fostering a positive, drug-free mindset.

Central Narcotics Bureau

Since January 2023, I have been volunteering as a PDE Speaker under the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB), where I conduct preventive drug education talks for youth and the broader community. My role involves educating individuals on the dangers of drug abuse, providing valuable information on how to make healthy life choices, and actively participating in the "Dadah Itu Haram" (Drugs are Forbidden) Campaign. Through these efforts, I aim to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drugs and encourage a drug-free lifestyle, contributing to a safer and healthier society.

Industrial & Services Co-Operative Society Limited (ISCOS)

As a volunteer with Titans, I have had the opportunity to facilitate impactful programs at the Changi Prison Complex, specifically for Cluster A4 (Women) during the ISCOS Briefing, and at the Selarang Halfway House for Women Support Group. My role includes providing guidance and support to individuals reintegrating into society, helping them develop life skills and fostering hope for a positive future. Additionally, Mohd Hairi to conduct ISCOS sharing sessions at Selarang Institution 2 and other locations within Changi Prison Complex, where we shared insights on rehabilitation and personal growth, empowering inmates to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Sunrise Youth Club

I have had the privilege of volunteering with Sunrise Youth Club for the past four months, facilitating a youth empowerment program for at-risk youth. Throughout this experience, I have guided the participants in developing leadership skills, helping them to recognize and embrace their personal values. Additionally, I provided education on drug prevention, empowering the youth to make informed decisions and build resilience against negative influences. It has been an incredibly rewarding journey, fostering confidence, self-awareness, and a sense of responsibility among these young individuals.

Human Hearts Society

As an anti-drug advocate for the Human Hearts Society, I am committed to raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promoting healthier, drug-free lifestyles. By partnering with Ukhwah Fillah (Ultimate Friends) SG, we aim to create a supportive community environment through their centres, where we can collectively manage and run impactful workshops for desistors. These workshops will focus on rehabilitation, guidance, and empowerment, helping individuals reintegrate into society and lead fulfilling lives. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will formalize our collaboration, ensuring a structured approach to delivering these vital programs and services to those in need.

Family and Inmates ThroughCare Assistance Haven (FITRAH)

Volunteering with FITRAH as a befriender has been a deeply rewarding experience, where I had the opportunity to connect with inmates at the Changi Prison Complex Cluster A4 Women and Rise Above Halfway House through Community-Based Programme. Through my role, I supported their journey of personal growth and empowerment, fostering meaningful relationships by offering encouragement and understanding. Additionally, my involvement in networking with these women during the Quarterly Motivational Talk on faith-based themes allowed me to contribute to their spiritual and emotional well-being, helping to inspire hope and renewal as they reflect on their faith and life choices. This experience has not only strengthened my own beliefs but also deepened my commitment to serving others.

Singapore After Care Association (SACA)

During my time as a volunteer with the Singapore After Care Association (SACA), I served as a befriender for inmates at the Changi Prison Complex. This role involved providing emotional support and companionship to individuals incarcerated there, helping to reduce feelings of isolation and contributing to their reintegration process. Through regular interactions, I was able to build trust, listen to their stories, and offer encouragement, aiding in their personal growth and rehabilitation. Volunteering with SACA allowed me to witness the transformative power of human connection and the importance of second chances in the lives of those who are incarcerated. It was a deeply rewarding experience that enhanced my empathy, communication skills, and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
